Skills vary between individuals, so we ask you to state what the shift genuinely needs rather than assuming a standard. If your menu or till system takes a little learning, say so in the brief and allow a few minutes at the start of the shift to walk someone through it.
Freelance bartenders work alongside your existing team, not in place of it. Your duty manager still runs the floor and sets the standard for the night.
What to include in your brief
- Date, start time and expected finish.
- Full venue address and the door to arrive at.
- How many bartenders you need.
- Service style and the skills required, such as cocktails or high-volume draught.
- The agreed hourly rate for the shift.
- The name of the on-site contact for arrival.

What it costs.
Worker wages are payable in addition to the platform fee.
Plus £10 per worker per shift + VAT. Worker wages are still payable.
The platform fee on your first shift is waived. The worker's wages for that shift are still payable.
- Can I request a single shift?
- Yes. You can request cover for one shift, subject to availability. Nothing is booked until availability and the details are confirmed.
- Can I request someone with cocktail experience?
- You can state the experience your shift needs and we use it to match. Skills differ between individuals, so we cannot say every bartender works every style of service.
- What happens after I request cover?
- We onboard your venue, take your brief over WhatsApp, then check availability and confirm the terms with you before anything is arranged.
